PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The body of an adult male was pulled from the Willamette River in Portland Sunday night, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said.

MCSO's River Patrol and Portland Fire and Rescue responded to the river just north of the Morrison Bridge around 7:20 p.m. and found the body in the middle of the channel.

Crews pulled the body out of the water and took it to a Portland fire station.

The body was then turned over to the Medical Examiner's Office, which will determine the man's identity and a cause of death.

No further details were available as of Monday morning.
