The Oregon Zoo is offering free admission for visitors ages 65 and older on Tuesday, September 15.

The 'Senior Safari' gives Seniors the opportunity to attend animal talks, explore the zoo, and visit the zoo’s Family Farm to pet a variety of small animals.

Seniors can also get a 10 percent discount in the zoo restaurants.

"Everyone knows the Oregon Zoo is a great place for kids to learn about wildlife conservation, and it's a great place for older adults to connect with animals too," Said Teri Dresler, interim zoo director.

Seniors can bring one companion to the 'Senior Safari' for free as well.

General zoo admission is $11.50 for visitors ages 12-64, $10 for seniors, $8.50 for children, and free for those 2 and younger.
