PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The body of a missing Portland woman was found on the shore of the Willamette River near the St. Johns Bridge.

Police said foul play is not suspected in the death of 37-year-old Lisa Jane Wright.

Her body was recovered Tuesday morning. She was reported missing after she left her home in the Linnton neighborhood in northwest Portland to go for a walk the evening of Sept. 8 and never returned.

That night, some of her personal items were found on the north side of the St. Johns Bridge.

Police said Wednesday her death was ruled to be a drowning.

At the time she went missing, police and family members said there were no reports of her intending to harm herself, or any history of mental health or addiction issues.

However, on Wednesday, the Portland Police Bureau issued a release in connection to the discovery of her body saying help is available for community members struggling from a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts.

The Multnomah County Mental Health Call Center is available 24 hours a day at 503-988-4888. Lines for Life is also available 24 hours a day at 1-800-273-TALK.
