PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man carrying meth and heroin was caught trying to sell stolen snowboards on the Internet, according to court documents.

A probable cause affidavit states Andrew Zoch, 31, told police he did not steal the snowboards, but instead bought them from someone else for $10 each and attended to flip them for a profit.

"I knew it was a little shady, but I was just trying to make some easy money," Zoch told police according to the affidavit.

Court documents state a home was burglarized on Sept. 11 and officers were again called to the home on Tuesday. The victims told police they had found ads online selling the snowboards that were taken from their home.

Court documents state the stolen snowboards had unique stickers on them, including one with a woman's name and marriage proposal on it.

The victim arranged to meet Zoch to buy the boards, according to court documents, with police covering the area.

A probable cause affidavit states when officers approached Zoch, he attempted to run away and swatted at the hand of an officer holding onto his sweatshirt.

Zoch told police he bought the snowboards from an "unknown white male" at a gas station at 92nd and Holgate for $10 each, according to the affidavit.

Court documents state Zoch told police he knew it was a crime to knowingly buy and sell stolen items, but said, "I figured that if it wasn't me that stole it and I didn't know where it came from, I was fine to make a little money by selling it."

Zoch was searched and two clear plastic baggies were located. According to court documents, they tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin.

Zoch was arraigned in court Wednesday on charges including first-degree theft, possession of heroin and meth and resisting arrest.

He is due back in court Sept. 24.
