Columbia County, OR (KPTV) -

Columbia County deputies arrested Scott Milke, 58, Friday evening after a domestic disturbance call just before 9 p.m. led to a 2.5 hour long standoff.

As deputies were approaching the home just outside of Scappoose on Mountainview road, they had to take cover after four shots were fired.

Milke later surrendered and was taken into custody at 11:30 p.m.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s office reported that an interview with the spouse determined that no physical violence had occurred between the two during the initial disturbance call.

Milke is now charged with menacing and recklessly endangering another person.
