Police: 45 trash bags full of stolen property recovered in retail theft bust

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Three people were arrested and 45 large trash bags filled with stolen property were recovered as part of a retail theft investigation, according to police.

Detectives served a warrant at a home on the 4200 block of Southeast 90th Avenue at 7:35 p.m. Sept. 16.

Police seized dozens of bags of stolen property, mostly clothing and shoes, many with the tags and security sensors still attached.

Investigators estimate the value of the stolen property could exceed $50,000.

Three people were arrested as part of the investigation. They were identified as 18-year-old Cache Coleman, 20-year-old Jabril Coleman and 21-year-old JocCrystal Johnl Jackson.

All three suspects are facing charges of first- and second-degree theft. They were booked in the Multnomah County Jail and police said additional charges may be added after further investigation.

Detectives are continuing to sort through the stolen property to determine ownership.
