Death of Gresham man found dead at Trillium Lake Sno-Park being treated as homicide

Investigators are now treating the death of Gresham man found dead at Trillium Lake Sno-Park as a homicide.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives responded to the scene off Highway 26 in the Mount Hood National Forest about two miles east of Government Camp at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies identified the person found dead as missing Gresham man Frank Wilson. The Gresham Police Department put out an alert regarding the 68-year-old man Thursday morning, saying he was last seen at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and had not been heard from since. 

Wilson suffered from heart problems, diabetes and other medical ailments, according to police, and was in immediate need of medical attention. 

Autopsy results show the Wilson died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Deputies said Wilson was found in his white 2003 Ford F150 pickup. The pickup had a "Vietnam Veteran" sticker in the back window of the cab.
