Gladstone Police responded to the report of a suspicious man with a gun around 7:05 a.m. on Friday.

When officers arrived to the area, located in the 17000 block of Springhill Place, they located Nicolas Ray Lunde, 30, behind a home and he fled toward Webster Road.

Police were able to catch Lunde in the Kraxberger Middle School sports field and arrested him after a brief struggle.

A shotgun and handgun were recovered just outside of the school fence line. No shots were fired.

Lunde was taken to Clackamas County Jail on a parole detainer.

Police said additional charges are pending.
