PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Omar Rene Solano Villanueva, 29, of Beaverton was indicted by a Multnomah County Grand Jury on Friday on multiple charges including rape in the first degree and sex abuse in the first degree.

Portland Police say these charges are related to a sexual assault at a Southwest Portland residence on September 12.

According to the report, Solano Villanueva was meeting a woman, 28, at a downtown Portland bar.

The two then went to a restaurant in the Hillsdale area of Southwest Portland.

Afterword’s around 2:30 a.m., the two parted ways after the woman had declined Solano Villanueva's offer to walk her home.

According to police, the woman did not provide her address, or describe to Solano Villanueva specifically where she lived.

Investigators determined that he likely followed the woman home unknowingly, and entered a couple of hours later.

The woman then woke up to him sexually assaulting her.

Police say Solano Villanueva was later arrested on September 18 in downtown Portland.

Anyone with possible information about this case is asked to contact Portland Police.
