PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested three men after a drive-by shooting in downtown Portland that led to a police chase on I-84 early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the area of Southwest Fourth Avenue and Burnside Street a little before 1:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report that someone in a silver SUV fired at another vehicle before driving off.

A short time later, police located the suspect's SUV heading eastbound on I-84 and pursued it until the car came to a stop near Northeast 208th Place and Halsey Street.

Police said the driver, later identified as Ean Patrick Nisbett, 28, and a passenger, Geontae Brachaurd Jones, 23, got out of the SUV and ran.

Two other remained in the vehicle. Jaelan Reid, 21, was arrested on a parole violation. The other passenger, a 23-year-old male, was released.

Gresham Police Department SWAT responded to help search for Nisbett and Jones and after several hours, officers found both suspects hiding in the area.

Nisbett was arrested on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Jones was arrested on a parole violation charge.

Police said they confiscated two guns.

Detectives said they believed the drive-by shooting downtown was gang-related. There weren't any reports of injuries.
