WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

A 15-year-old boy was arrested after saying he was going to 'shoot up' Woodburn High School, according to police.

The teen was arrested at his home Monday on the charge of disorderly conduct. His name has not been released.

The boy said on Friday that he was going to "shoot up the school on Monday," according to the Woodburn Police Department.

Officers said the teen admitted to making the threat, but said he did it "as a joke."

The teen was taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center on Monday.

Police said no students or staff at Woodburn High School were ever in danger.

No other details were released by investigators.
