West Linn HS teacher arrested on charges of sexual abuse of at least two male students

Posted: Updated:

A West Linn High School teacher has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse, misconduct and supplying alcohol to a minor involving two male students.

Lake Oswego Police Department officers arrested Jonathan Michael Peachey without incident at his home Tuesday. Peachey, 34, is facing two counts of sex abuse 3, two counts of official misconduct 1, and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Officers report the investigation into Peachey began last Monday, after a report that a teacher at the school was “inappropriately touching male students” at a home in Lake Oswego.

Investigators have found two victims, but said there may be more. They are asking anyone with information on the incident, or anyone knowing any additional victims, to call Detective Lee Ferguson at 503-635-0238.

According to a representative with the West Linn School District, Peachey is on administrative leave. He is a Spanish teacher who has been teaching for 12 years.

This is not Peachey's first arrest. He was arrested for DUII in 2012 and had his license suspended for a year while serving two years on probation, .

Peachey posted bail and was released from the Clackamas County Jail Tuesday night. He had no comment for reporters
