HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

A man arrested twice in one week on public indecency charges pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to six months in jail.

Michael Cunningham, 41, of Hillsboro, was first arrested July 26. A woman with four children reported to police that a man exposed himself to them in a Tigard Walmart store.

Police said Cunningham was caught hiding in the backyard of a nearby home.

Hillsboro police then identified Cunningham as a suspect in another case and he was arrested again. That incident on May 30 involved a man exposing himself to a group of children on Northwest Trailwalk Drive.

Detectives said in July they were also investigating Cunningham in connection to other similar incidents, including a woman who said Cunningham exposed himself to her 7-year-old daughter at the Best Buy store in Tanasbourne on July 25.

Cunningham pleaded guilty to three counts of public indecency on Sept. 14. He was sentenced to six months in jail, but he does not have to register as a sex offender.
