Costco photo center website hacked, personal information stolen

Posted: Updated:

If you have ordered photos from Costco in the last year, hackers could have your personal information.

Costco confirms their photo center website was hacked. They're telling customers who have ordered photos from them online to change their passwords, not just on the Costco photo website but for all their online accounts.

In an email sent to customers, Costco said their online photo center was hacked sometime between June 19, 2014 and July 15, 2015.

If you logged into your account or created an account during those 13 months, your email, your address and your password were compromised.

Costco also said some of the credit card numbers typed onto the site during that year were taken too. They don't think hackers accessed any customer photos and this only affects the photo center website, not

Costco took their photo site down after learning about the hack.

After adding more security, the website is back up but Costco customers FOX 12 talked to said they're cautious about using it.

"I tend to take my photos straight to the store I'm doing business with and I get my pictures and I leave. I'm very nervous about doing that online business because everyone's getting hacked these days," said Costco customer Kristen Daiker.

Costco said they're going to pay for one year of identity protection for their photo center customers.
