SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Two Milwaukie women who have never met now have one thing in common: A $50,000 jackpot.

On Monday, Heather Bonney and Trish Bell each claimed a $50,000 prize from two different Oregon Lottery Scratch-it games.

They arrived at the Oregon Lottery headquarters in Salem on Monday less than an hour apart.

Bonney won playing the $5 Big Money Crossword game by scratching off 10 words.

"At first I thought I had eight words, which is $200 and I thought 'sweet!'," Bonney said. "Then I kept looking at it and saw nine, and then 10. I didn't even know what was happening. I usually win my $5 back, but never anything like this."

Bonney is a single mom and nursing student. She plans to put the money toward her education, according to lottery officials.

The ticket was purchased at Fred Meyer in Oregon City.

Bell won playing the $5 20X The Cash Scratch-it. She purchased the ticket while out to dinner with her boyfriend at the Porterhouse Restaurant in Milwaukie.

Bell said she was still in shock Monday and didn't know what she would do with her winnings.

The Porterhouse Restaurant also sold a $50,000 Win for Life ticket that same week, according to lottery officials.
