Police: 62-year-old man missing after VA hospital visit returns home

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

UPDATE (9:30 a.m.): Portland police say Reginald Lewis, missing since Wednesday afternoon, has returned home.


ORIGINAL STORY:

Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to find a missing man.

Police said Reginald Dean Lewis, 62, has been missing since 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said Lewis was last seen at a medical appointment at the V.A. Hospital at 11 a.m., then missed a 3 p.m. cab that was supposed to drive him home in SE Portland.

Lewis has medical problems that could endanger his life if left unchecked.

Police said Lewis is an African American, 5'7", 180 pounds, possibly wearing glasses, last seen wearing a dark gray matching sweatshirt and sweat pants. Lewis uses a red walker with a green bag attached.

Anyone who sees Lewis is asked to call 911. Anyone with non-emergency information should contact Detective Lori Fonken 503-823-1081.
