HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

A man on the run for more than 25 years accused of raping and torturing a woman in Hillsboro was caught in Mexico and is now behind bars in Oregon, according to police.

Paul Jackson, 45, was booked in the Washington County Jail on Friday.

He was caught last week by Mexican immigration authorities and the U.S. Marshals Service in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Jackson was recently featured on John Walsh's "The Hunt" on CNN and had been profiled several times on 'America's Most Wanted.'

He was initially indicted by a grand jury in June 1990.

Investigators said he and his half-brother chained up a 16-year-old girl for days, sexually abused and raped her. She managed to escape and contact police.

Detectives said evidence of a previous similar crime was discovered in the suspects' home.

Both men fled before going to trial. Vance Roberts turned himself in to police in 2006 and is serving a 108-year prison sentence.

Paul Jackson remained on the loose until tips led to his arrest last week. Investigators said he was using the alias Paul Bennett Hamilton and had been living in Mexico for several years.
