PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 67-year-old man accused of attacking a woman with a baseball bat in southeast Portland has been arrested.

The US Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force arrested Henry Ross Pryor on Wednesday thanks to tips sent to Crime Stoppers of Oregon.

The investigation started on June 19 after Portland police responded to an assault report at a home in the 2400 block of Southeast 139th Ave. Police say the woman was struck several times with a baseball bat by the attacker before he attempted to stab her with a knife.

Crime Stoppers took on the case in August and asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, offering a $1,000 cash reward for tips.

Several tips were received identifying the suspect, which led to his arrest on Wednesday.

Pryor was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of robbery, burglary, assault and a federal hold.
