EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -

A woman wanted for identity theft was arrested in Eugene after she ran from police and then hid inside a porta-potty.

Eugene Police said on Saturday around 11:18 a.m., an officer responded to the area of Chad Drive and Coburg Road regarding the location of a wanted subject.

The officer tried to talk to Treasure Shockey, 27, but she ran from the officer into a nearby neighborhood.

According to police, a resident saw Shockey run through her yard and over a fence into an area of the Eugene Swim and Tennis Club.

More officers arrived to the area and search for Shockey.

About 20 minutes later, a worker in the area went into a porta-potty near a construction site.

According to police, when he lifted the toilet seat he found Shockey hiding in the sewage tank. The worker left and notified a nearby officer.

Police arrested Shockey as she left the porta-potty.
