EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -

The University of Oregon is showing its support for the students and staff at Umpqua Community College by offering free tickets to this weekend's football game.

The university's athletic department added a page to its website that allows members of the UCC community to request up to four free tickets to the Oct. 10 game versus Washington State.

A UCC ID number is required.

The gesture is in response to last week's shooting in which a gunman killed nine fellow students and injured nine others before shooting and killing himself.

UO football players, along with the Oregon State Beavers, also donned UCC ribbon decals on their helmets the weekend immediately following the shooting.

This weekend's game starts at 3 p.m. Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
