Warrant leads to meth, four arrests at McMinnville home

MCMINNVILLE, OR (KPTV) -

A search warrant led to the arrests of four people on charges including possession of methamphetamine and child neglect at a home in McMinnville.

The Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team served a search warrant, with the assistance of McMinnville police and Yamhill County deputies, on the 400 block of N.E. Johnson Street at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said the home is about a block from the Cook Elementary School property.

Two people who live in the home were arrested. Russell McMillen, 30, and Betty Peterson, 32, face charges of child neglect, endangering the welfare of minors and unlawful possession of meth. McMillen also faces the additional charge of unlawful distribution of meth within 1,000 feet of a school.

Two others arrested in this case were Beu Coker, 20, of McMinnville, on the charge of unlawful possession of meth and James Taylor, 42, listed as a transient, on a parole warrant.
