On Saturday, the three youngest victims of the Umpqua Community College shooting were laid to rest.

Family and friends of Quinn Cooper, 18, Rebecka Carnes, 18, and Lucas Eibel, 18, celebrated their lives that were cut way too short.

Quinn Cooper had only been in college for four days when he was shot and killed in his writing class.

"Quinn, only being 18, had so much definition, and lived such as amazing life and touched so many people as you can see," said Katrena Garoutte, a family friend.

Quinn was into mixed martial arts. His weight trainer and close family friend said he was kind, easy-going and gentle.

"He was everything that I wanted to be when I was 18, but I was not," said Larry McCraw.

Wendy Harris was one of many that came out to hold flags and signs in front of the church.

"Everybody is just trying to focus on helping each other and maybe start the healing process," said Harris.

There were also services for Rebecka Carnes from Myrtle Creek, and Lucas Eibel who his family calls a great student and animal lover. Lucas volunteered at the Wildlife Safari in Winston.

"I think it's going to take awhile for this community to heal," said Harris.

Now, the community will try to move forward together.

"I don't know how we're going to get over everything, but if we can get over this, we can get over anything alive," said McCraw.

A memorial for Kim Dietz will be held on Sunday at Pyrenees Vineyard. Next Saturday, Oct. 17, a service will be held for Treven Anspach.

Classes are set to resume at UCC on Monday.
