ASTORIA, OR (KPTV) -

Astoria Police Detectives arrested a woman after an investigation into multiple thefts from an Astoria couple.

Detectives said they received information from the victims that had noticed cash, jewelry, clothing and electronic items missing from their home and vehicles.

The couple allowed the detectives to conduct surveillance at their home on Oct. 10.

While conducting surveillance, detectives said they watched Kourtney Marie Scott, 25, enter into the victim's vehicle and steal money.

Scott was arrested and is being charged with theft I, burglary I, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft II.

Detectives said they were able to recover some stolen jewelry that were sold at a local jewelry shop. However, jewelry sold to another local shop had reportedly already been melted down.

Scott came to work for the couple after they place an ad for a housekeeper on the Facebook page, Astoria Virtual Garage Sale.

Astoria Police is asking anyone who has employed Scott and believe things are missing from their home, to contact them at (503) 325-4411.
