ROSEBURG, OR (KPTV) -

Cheyeanne Fitzgerald, one of nine people injured in the deadly mass shooting at Umpqua Community College, has been released from the hospital.

Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg said Tuesday morning that no other UCC patients remained hospitalized there.

Nine people were killed and nine others injured when a gunman opened fire in a building on the UCC campus Oct. 1. The gunman then turned the gun on himself, according to police.

Fitzgerald's family said 16-year-old Cheyeanne was shot in the back and played dead to stay alive.

One patient remains hospitalized at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield. The hospital said Julie Woodworth has been upgraded from critical to serious condition. Amber McMurtrey was discharged over the weekend.

Classes at UCC resumed Monday for the first time since the shooting.
