PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon Zoo welcomed three new harbor seals over the weekend.

The new arrivals – all from the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska – are 8-year-old male Tongass, 11-year-old female Atuun and her pup, 4-month-old Kaya. Harbor seals have spotted coats that are unique as human fingerprints and range in color from silvery white to brownish black.

Zoo officials sad the seals are curious, playful and adjusting well to their new habitat. Visitors can see them at the zoo’s Steller Cove, which was renovated during the summer after being home to beloved sea lions Julius and Gus.

The zoo posted a video of the seals exploring their new home on their YouTube channel this week.

The Oregon Zoo opens at 9 a.m. daily and is located five minutes from downtown Portland off Highway 26.
