LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

Lake Oswego High School will forfeit their varsity football game on October 16 due to code of conduct violations involving players, according to a release by the school district.

Lake Oswego HS spokesperson, Nancy Duin, said in a release that an investigation was conducted by Athletic Director Brigham Baker and Assistant Principal Brian Crawford have determined that members of the football team violated team rules.

Duin said the 'number of players involved and the disciplinary consequences' the players received will require the team to forfeit their next game against Sherwood High School.

Duin also said the team will continue to practice and will play the next game scheduled on Oct. 23.

The school district did not say how the players violated team rules.

Ten Lake Oswego High School football players had to sit out four games during the 2014 season after violating the student code of conduct.
