PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 5-year-old male mountain goat is settling into his new home at the Oregon Zoo.

Honovi, whose name is Hopi for "strong," came from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado. Keepers said he is already feeling at home in the zoo’s Cascade Crest habitat.

"He walked the whole area, climbed up on the rocks and got used to the terrain," said keeper Julie Christie. "Then he sprawled out on the grass in the sunshine. He was really relaxed out there."

Honovi joins 6-year-old female mountain goat Montane at Cascade Crest. Keepers hope the pair will hit it off and add to the mountain goat population.

The zoo posted a video of the mountain goats on their YouTube channel Thursday.
