Police responded just after midnight Saturday to a report of a shooting near the 4400 block of northeast 122nd Avenue.

According to Portland Police, there were two gunshot victims; one teen, 16, and a man, 23.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The 23-year old male's injuries are non life-threatening, but the 16-year-old is in critical condition.

Officials say there was a birthday party at a local community center, when some uninvited people came and attempted to enter the party.

When they were not let in, they remained in the area, resulting in shots being fired.

Police say the suspects are described as two or three Hispanic men who fled the area after the shooting.

According to police, Favian Alejandro Peralta, 20, was arrested after two handguns were located in his vehicle. Peralta was a friend of the teen victim, and not believed to be one of the suspects that injured the victims.

Officials say Peralta is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

The Gang Enforcement Team responded to the shooting after learning that there were people associated with gangs at the party.

Anyone with information is asked to call Portland Police.
