A Portland coach was arrested in Wisconsin Thursday after sending inappropriate messages to one of his players.

The mother of a 13-year-old Wisconsin teen reported that her son had attended a local basketball camp Tuesday, and noticed some unusual attention from one of the coaches, according to a release from the Shwano County Sheriff’s office

The teen had received text messages from the coach that were at first supportive of the teen's athletic talent, but the messages later began to seem suggestive.

Officials say the player’s parents then alerted detectives of the disturbing messages.

With the support of the family, the Sheriff’s office then took over electronic communications between the coach and player.

After the conversations became more suggestive to the realm of being sexually explicit, detectives agreed to a meeting with him.

Nicholas Ray Alexander, 23, of Portland was taken into custody and charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and child endangerment.
