VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Beethoven, a 10-year-old yellow-white lab that was missing from the School of Piano Technology for the Blind in Vancouver, has been found.

The school asked the public for help locating the missing guide dog Monday morning, after the dog was last seen on the 2500 block of East Evergreen Boulevard at 2 a.m. Sunday.

The school had filed a report with the Vancouver Police Department early Monday.

While search and rescue dogs were part of the search, Beethoven was found when someone saw him in the window of a home about a half mile from the school. The person said the recognized the dog from the many social posts.

Cheri Martin, Executive Director of the school, said she was surprised Beethoven had gotten that far away, especially by him crossing trafficked roads.
