Police: Four arrested after armed robbery, two people injured in Salem

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem Police arrested two adults and two juveniles on multiple charges after an armed robbery on Oct. 14.

Police said the four suspects entered a home in the 1600 block of Berry Street SE with several firearms. The suspects confronted several people in the home and bound them with duct tape.

Police said there was a struggle between one of the victims and some of the suspects. A gunshot was fired by one of the suspects during the struggle.

A victim sustained a non-life threatening injury during the struggle.

A 16-year-old suspect sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. 

Police said all suspects left the home after the scuffle. The 16-year-old was found and arrested at a different location in NE Salem and taken to Salem Hospital to be treated.

Salem Police detectives worked on the investigation and served three search warrants on Oct. 16. They arrested George Zaichenko, 18, Pavel Arkhipenco, 18, and a 17-year-old male juvenile.

All suspects have been charged with burglary in the first degree, assault in the second degree, unlawful use of a weapon and five counts of robbery in the first degree.

Police said the incident appears to be narcotics related, and the identities of the victims are not being released at this time.
