Five years later, downtown stabbing death remains unsolved; reward offered

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Five years after a man was stabbed to death on the streets of downtown Portland, police are again asking for the public's help to track down the killer.

At 8 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2010, officers responded to a bus shelter at Southwest 1st and Sheridan Street on reports of a man found dead.

Officers arrived and located the body of 50-year-old Donald Ray Polk.  

The victim, known as "Pokey" to his friends, was believed to be living on the streets at the time of his death.

Police said he was last seen alive at a 7-Eleven store at Southwest 1st and Arthur Street.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Tips can be submitted anonymously at crimestoppersoforegon.com.
