The Hoverboard and flying cars may still be science fiction, but the Nikes worn by Marty McFly in 2015 in the movies are now real.

Nike announced Wednesday that the Nike Mag, a pair of shoes with self-tying laces featured in “Back to the Future II” in 1989, are being released, in a limited release.

The announcement, released on the date in the film when Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd visited the future, noted that Nike was asked to create shoes for the movie that could look ahead.

“We started creating something for fiction and we turned it into fact, inventing a new technology that will benefit all athletes,” Nike President and CEO Mark Parker said in the release.

According to the company, the shoes are designed to automatically adjust to the users fit as they move.

The first pair were sent to Fox in New York Wednesday.

Getting a pair of the new shoes could be tough. They will only be available for auction, with the proceeds benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
