Man with sawed-off shotgun robs Yamhill County bank

DAYTON, OR (KPTV) -

A man carrying what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun robbed a bank in Dayton and got away with cash, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the U.S. Bank branch at 2 p.m. They searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man or lighter skinned Hispanic man, around 5'6" and 220 pounds. He had short, thick dark hair with long sideburns.

The robber was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, long khaki shorts and white high top shoes. He was wearing clear glasses and a mask covering the lower half of his face.

The FBI is assisting the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
