Local pot shop hit by bullets, vandalized three times in past two months

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Their building has been shot up and vandalized three times in the last two months, and the owners of a Portland marijuana dispensary want it to stop.

If the vandalism was just a little spray paint or a broken window, the owners would't be so worried. But their building has been shot at and they worry someone's going to get seriously hurt.

It's happening at the Oregon Alternative Medical Center on Northeast 42nd Avenue.

Charlene McCleoud and her brother own the dispensary and they've been in business for three years.

Just in the past two months, someone has been coming by in the middle of the night, shooting at the building, breaking windows and ripping down signs.

The latest incident happened on Sunday. The bullet holes are still visible on the building.

McCleoud has no idea why they're being targeted, but she said she's scared to come to work.

"We want to make sure the building stays safe, the neighborhood stays safe, and just end the violence. Whoever's doing it, we want to ask them to stop, you know?  I'm not sure what's going on or why it's happening, but we just want it to stop."

Portland Police are investigating and the building owners told FOX 12 they're going to install more outside lighting and more surveillance cameras.
