VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

An Amboy, WA woman awaiting trial for vehicular manslaughter is back in custody, after missing a court appearance in Clark County.

Dave Regan, who owns Regan Bail Bonds in Vancouver, said he tracked Tanya Leffler down to a home in SE Marion County.
“She was a little upset,” said Regan.  “She was a little baffled.  Confused.  I think she was a little baffled because she got found so fast.”

Leffler was originally arrested in April, 2014, after police officers said she hit a motorcycle at the intersection of NE Padden Parkway and NE 94th Avenue in Vancouver.

The bike’s rider, James Luden, died at the scene.  Investigators later said Leffler was high on meth at the time.

Even before Leffler tried to jump bail, Regan said she was on his radar, having violated the conditions of her release twice already.

“We knew exactly where she was located even before the warrant came out,” said Regan.

Luden’s immediate family was unavailable for comment, but another family member said the Leffler’s arrest brings some closure.
