A bomb threat at Estacada High School during parent-teacher conferences led to a two-hour delayed start Wednesday.

The call came in around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said there were parent-teacher conferences happening at the school during the time the threat was received.

Bomb squad personnel, along with Estacada and Sandy police searched the high school, but found nothing.

As a safety precaution, the school district canceled the remaining conferences for Tuesday evening.

School district personnel also made the decision to delay the start of the school day on Wednesday by two hours for both the high school and middle school.

All elementary conferences prior to 9:30 a.m. were canceled and will be rescheduled.

A safety sweep of school district property was conducted prior to the arrival of any students Wednesday. Police said nothing of concern was found.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Estacada/Sandy Police tip line 503-489-2195.
