PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 17-year-old was arrested after police said they identified him as the person who made a bomb threat at Estacada High School during parent-teacher conferences.

The threat was called in at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police and the bomb squad searched the school, but did not find anything suspicious.

As a precaution, the district canceled the remaining conferences that night and delayed the start of school on Wednesday by two hours for both the high school and middle school.

A safety sweep of school district property was also conducted before the arrival of any students Wednesday and police said nothing of concern was located.

Police said they were able to identify the suspect and gain a confession from him Thursday.

Police did not identify the suspect and no other details were released.

The teen was booked into the juvenile detention facility on the charge of first-degree disorderly conduct.
