Heavy rains, flooding shut down street car lines

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Bureau of Transportation officials  is slowly bringing back service to MAX Lines following after heavy rains and flooding stopped services earlier in the day.

Riders Saturday evening should expect to see delays of up to 45 minutes as the services are slowly brought back.

Earlier in the day, shuttle buses were used after the street cars were stopped.

One train rider captured the flooding in a car on video and posted to YouTube.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for most of the area through Sunday afternoon.
