Passenger killed, three others seriously injured in Skamania Co. crash

CARSON, WA (KPTV) -

A passenger was killed and three other people were seriously injured in a two-car crash early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews responded to Hot Springs Avenue and Smith Beckon Road in Carson at 12:14 a.m.

Investigators said a 2002 Acura driven by 19-year-old Rylie Olsen of Carson was preparing to turn left from Hot Springs Avenue onto Smith Beckon Road when it was struck by a southbound 1993 Honda Civic.

A passenger in the Honda, identified as 21-year-old James Pat of Carson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 21-year-old Tanner Lloyd of Stabler, was trapped in the car and had to be rescued by first responders.

Lloyd suffered injuries described by deputies as serious.  

Olsen was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, along with a passenger in the Acura, Faith Udall, 20.

The Skamania County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the crash with the assistance of Washington State Patrol.
