VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

25 dogs rescued from South Korean meat farms were officially put up for adoption Tuesday.

The dogs had been recovering at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington since September.

Andie Hendrickson, one of the first to successfully adopt one of the dogs, said her new puppy, who she named “Shogun,” is adjusting well to his new home.

“It’s so worth it.  The love that he already shows all of us is so amazing,” said Hendrickson. “He’s got a good, fun personality.  He likes people.”

According to the Humane Society, 10 dogs have already been adopted, and the remaining 15 will be adopted over the next two months.
