COWLITZ COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Cowlitz County deputies arrested a man after he discharged a 12 gauge shotgun over the shoulder of another man.

Deputies said on Wednesday, Luckie Wideman, 47, went to the building where Robert Roller, 47, was living and knocked on his door. Roller became upset at Wideman because, according to Roller, Wideman had been bothering him. Roller grabbed his shotgun and pointed it at Wideman and then fired it over his right shoulder. Wideman was standing a short distance away at the time and was not injured, but he was very fearful for his life.

According to deputies, Wideman had gone to Roller's around 10:30 a.m. to ask for a key to another building on the property.

Roller was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm and assault in the first degree.

Roller has a conviction for felony eluding in 1987 with prohibits him from lawfully possessing a firearm.
