VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Police say an arson suspect who was caught on camera attempting to set a house on fire in Vancouver is now in custody.

The suspect, Aaron Lee Chambers, was arrested on Wednesday.

Officials say a YouTube video of the incident was taken outside of the home when the fire started back on July 22.

In the video, the suspect runs up the driveway around 11:30 p.m., and moments later a big flash of light appears and the suspect runs off.

One of the residents of the home smelled the smoke and was able to put out the fire.

The Vancouver Police Department was investigating four other arsons at the time of the fire.

Chambers’ first court appearance was on Thursday.
