CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Two people are now in the hospital after they were involved in a three vehicle crash late Sunday night on SR 503 just north of Vancouver.

Clark County Fire was the first to respond to the accident.

Officials said that Dacoda Nelson crashed into the back of Melody Adams’ car, which caused Adams to cross over the center lane and hit an oncoming car driven by Evelyn Duran.

Duran and Adams were both taken to the hospital with varying injuries, according to police reports.

Police said both Nelson and Adams were traveling at high speeds. They suspect drugs or alcohol were involved.

Nelson is facing charges of vehicular assault.
