PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland is already getting in to the spirit of the holidays as they kick off this year's "ugly sweater" campaign. But people also might see some things downtown that they might not recognize.

Starting on Tuesday, PDX Pop-Up shops are returning to downtown.

The shops will be located in Old Town Chinatown this year.

PDX Pop-Up Shops is an opportunity for retailers to temporarily set up shop for the shopping season.

FOX 12 spoke with the owner of Stubborn Stiles, a graphic design store selling posters and art, to see what the appeal of a temporary shop was.

"You know, there's a lot of people in town. A lot of people do their holiday shopping and we do all kinds of different events, and we travel all over the country with our goods but we've never done anything in Portland that's a permanent retail location," said Dan Stiles.

If you want to check out the pop-up shops, they will be open Nov. 10 through Christmas Eve at 438 NW Broadway and 341 NW Fifth Avenue.
