PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A dispute involving three people inside the Lloyd Center led to a shot being fired outside the mall, according to police.

Officers responded to Northeast 11th Avenue and Multnomah Street at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday.

They located a young man who was believed to be the intended victim of the shooting. Officers said he was not injured.

Investigators said the victim and two suspects were involved in a fight inside the mall, then continued to argue outside.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and fired a shot toward the victim, police said, then both suspects ran away westbound on Multnomah Street.

The suspects are described as black males in their teens wearing black sweatshirts and blue jeans. The suspect with the gun is described as having dread-locked hair.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call the Police Non-Emergency Line at 503-823-3333 or the Tactical Operations Division at 503-823-4106.
