CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Search and rescue crews were able to find a missing Battle Ground woman after she went for a drive Sunday night and found herself in an unfamiliar area.

Clark County deputies said Donna Davis, 72, left for a drive in her 2007 grey Honda Accord and later called from her cell phone saying she had gotten stuck and was uncertain where she was.

A ping from Davis’ phone showed that she appears to be in the Battle Ground/Heisson/Yacolt area.

Just before 10 a.m., deputies said Davis was located near Yacolt. She was being checked for exposure and injuries, but deputies said she appeared to be in good condition.

Davis told deputies she had driven down a gravel road but went off the road in a grassy area. She added that she can see the lights of a home but she was not certain how far away it was.

Search and rescue teams are continuing to search the surrounding areas. They are asking that property owners and morning commuters keep an eye out for Davis’ car with Washington license plate number AIW8822.
