Police: Wanted man threatens people with gun after being kicked out of bar

CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

A man with warrants for his arrest threatened people with a loaded gun after being kicked out of a Corvallis bar, according to police.

Officers responded to the Impulse Bar at Northwest 14th and Monroe Avenue at 2:21 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the suspect left before officers arrived, but they stopped his car and took him into custody.

Witnesses told police 23-year-old Mario Mendoza was kicked out of the bar after he was involved in an argument with another man.

He was upset and threatened people with a handgun, according to investigators.

Police said Mendoza is a convicted felon with two warrants for his arrest on charges of unlawful delivery of cocaine and probation violation. A loaded handgun was found in his car, along with marijuana extracts, according to officers.

Mendoza was booked in the Benton County Jail on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, menacing and disorderly conduct.
