A man dubbed the "Joker Bandit" by police attempted to rob another northwest Portland bank over the weekend, according to investigators.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect Friday, after they said he robbed an OnPoint Community Credit Union on the 2600 block of Northwest Vaughn Street that afternoon.
Investigators also connected him to three other Portland bank robberies in recent weeks.
At 11:55 a.m. Saturday, police said the same suspect displayed a demand note at the Well Fargo branch on the 1900 block of West Burnside Street.
He left the area before police arrived without obtaining any cash.
A new surveillance photo was released by detectives Monday.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, 5'8" to 5'10" with a thin build. He has a narrow face with scars and sores, as well as scruffy facial hair and narrow eyes.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has other information about this investigation is asked to contact Detective Brett Hawkinson at 503-823-1080, email@example.com; or the Portland Field Office of the FBI at 503-224-4181.
