Jesuit High School inducts Mike Dunleavy Jr. into Hall of Fame

Jesuit High School is inducting Chicago Bulls small forward Mike Dunleavy, Jr. into the Jesuit Hall of Fame.

Dunleavy graduated from Jesuit High School in 1999, and played for their basketball team for two seasons.

He led Jesuit to their first 20-win season and a quarterfinal appearance at the state tournament for the first time since 1976.

The next year, Jesuit won their first Metro League title since 1970, and the first state championship in school history.

Dunleavy then went on to play basketball for three seasons at Duke University, and entered the NBA draft in 2002.

During Dunleavy’s time at Duke, they had a record of 93-13.

The Golden State Warriors picked Dunleavy during the first round of the NBA draft, and played for the team from 2002-2007.

He was later traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2007, and then to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2011. In 2013 he was traded to his current team, the Chicago Bulls.

Dunleavy and his wife, Sarah, currently live in Chicago, Illinois.

An induction ceremony and luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at Jesuit High School.
